MERCHANDISE:
Sustainability is a growing trend which means nothing without transparency. “Green Washing” can be so frustrating when you’re trying to make the best choices for our planet. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to message me at gina@craftergeek.com
You will notice some items on Crafter Geek labeled “sustainable”. I do my best to properly describe every item I sell. I use terms directly from the supplier when provided. Below is a glossary of terms I most often use in describing materials and what that means to me.
Glossary of terms:
Repurposed: Materials taken from broken or otherwise unusable items
Rescued: Materials I did not directly purchase which are not considered sustainable but otherwise would be discarded into landfills. Example: acrylic yarn given to me by a friend
Recycled: Items made using traditional recycling methods such as plastic
SHIPPING:
Crafter Geek, LLC uses carbon-neutral shipping methods via Sendle, a certified B-Corp
Labels and other printed products are printed on 100% recycled paper. As the business expands, I will invest in a thermal printer using biodegradable labels.
Packing materials include biodegradable shipping peanuts or clean, reused materials.
